Critical Portfolio Works Contract (CPWC)

A Critical Portfolio Works Contract (CPWC) was formed in response to the required upgrades to the wastewater infrastructure in the Ipswich region. This contract included the design and construction of the Woogaroo Truck Sewer Main. These works were awarded to Thiess.

Bamser Involvement in the Project

Bamser were introduced to the Project to aid Thiess in the planning, procurement and delivery of the tunnelling on the sewer trunk mains.

Specifically, Bamser have provided the following support:

  • Participation in workshops facilitated to plan methodology and site investigation.
  • Compilation of the Scope of Work, tender documentation, management of the geotechnical drilling and assisting with the contract.
  • Facilitating the geotechnical drilling on site.

Bamser’s engagement was initiated to aid the front end planning of the tunnelling portions of the Project. Bamser provided a Project Engineer to aid the Project team in the following areas:

  • Technical Input;
  • Design Input;
  • Estimation Services;
  • Optioneering and Constructability of Project Solutions.
