Gladstone LNG Upstream Project Fairview

The Santos GLNG Project sources gas from Santos’ gas fields in the Surat and Bowen Basins. The gas is transported via a 420-km underground pipeline to a two-train LNG plant with a nameplate capacity of 7.8 million tonnes per annum on Curtis Island, Gladstone. GLNG is a joint venture between Santos and three of the world’s largest LNG companies, PETRONAS, Total and KOGAS.

Clough Downer JV (CDJV) is the contractor for the construction of facilities and pipelines in the Fairview area. Hutton Creek Branch Crossing is 660m in length and contains 2 HDPE (high density polyethylene) pipe with outer diameter 335mm and 180mm in a 700mm steel eveloper. Where Dowson River West Branch is 480m in length and contains one GRE (Glass Reinforced Epoxy) pipe with outer diameter at 300mm.

Bamser Involvement in the Project

Bamser were engaged by CDJV for their expertise, experience and resources to assist in the feasibility and design phase services of the HDD Crossings. Bamser’s services have been employed for the HDD river crossings.
